Credenhill Ward
Charlotte 'Charlie' Taylor
My name is Charlie Taylor and I live with my husband, my flock of miniature sheep, cats, geese, bees, and occasionally pigs, in Bishopstone. Originally from Devon, I moved to Hereford to join my husband, who served here. We initially moved to Credenhill where we ran our own business, then in 2016 we moved to Bishopstone.
Before moving to Hereford I worked in a Plymouth University as a Student Advisor, was carer for my disabled elderly father and a mum to a daughter and step-son. My University role was to support students both young and old, focusing on such fields as finance, welfare, disability support, inclusion, career counselling and mental health. All of this has given me a wealth of knowledge of how to help people and effectively navigate bureaucracy.
Hereford has a wonderful rural feel, somewhat like the Plymouth of my youth. However, like many British towns and cities, Hereford is struggling with aging infrastructure, declining standards of living and the legacy of poor policies. All of these issues have a huge impact for us all and all of them I am eager to tackle.
Hereford is situated in some of the most beautiful countryside to be found, despite the decline in funding which has prevented the sound management of our roads and green spaces. The continued national policies of Austerity have allowed a decline in the services provided to you the voting public. Likewise poor regulation by our national statutory bodies has allowed a devastating decline in the health of the rivers and waterways, particularly the River Wye, the heart and soul of this County.
With your help (and vote!) I intend to change this, to work with the Independents for Herefordshire (i4H) coalition and fight for sound policies that are sympathetic to the rural community and countryside, support our farmers and protect our rivers and landscape, and will be the cornerstone of our plan to enrich the lives of Herefordians both now and for future generations.
If you want to talk to me at all in the run up to the elections then please feel free to email me at

I’m always happy to meet up as well, I’ll usually be at home tending to the flock!
